Undergraduate Study in European Languages and Linguistics & Applied Linguistics
Studies in European Languages or Linguistics & Applied Linguistics can be taken as a major or minor in your Arts degree, or as breadth study in one of the other New Generation degrees.

Concurrent Diploma in Languages
The Diploma in Languages is available to students commencing a New Generation degree from 2008. It allows students to complete a diploma in their chosen language alongside their undergraduate degree.
Cross Institutional study
Cross Institutional study allows students to access languages on offer at other universities which are not currently taught by the University of Melbourne. Complementary studies are available in the following languages
- Catalan - La Trobe University
- Modern Greek - La Trobe University
- Korean - Monash University
- Polish - Monash University
