Student Travel - School of Languages & Linguistics

Students must be aware of the policies and guidelines associated with off-campus travel. If a student plans to study off campus and overseas, travel bulletin advice must be sought from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s website. For travel related matters in the School, please contact Lynette Kalms ext. 45394.

The following forms are required:

Application for Leave to Study Away (PhD)- This includes the guidelines for off campus travel.
2 Variable Risk Assessment form or 3 Variable Risk Assessment form - If the student is traveling to a high risk area in the course of a non-fieldwork absence.
Fieldwork travel Risk Assessment - Completion of this form is a requirement of the School of Languages & Linguistics. Please complete on-line, print and ask for your supervior's signature of approval.
